صرّح J.J. Abrams مخرج فيلم Cloverfield في أخر لقائاته التالي :
” ما زلنا نتحدث عن مشروعنا القادم , ولكن في الحقيقة أفضّل أن أنفذ فكرة أخرى مع نفس الفريق على أن أبدأ بالعمل على الجزأ الثاني , لم نقرر بعد “
يأتي هذا التصريح للتشكيك بوجود الجزأ الثاني الذي صرّح أنه قادم بعد مدة من عرض الجزأ الأول , و لكن يبدو أنه فعلا قادم في .. المستقبل .

I just want to clarify that J.J Abrams was the producer of the film and NOT the director . I agree, I wish they stop thinking of doing a sequal to the movie
